Today is Valentine’s Day 2007 and, even more than every other day, if that is possible, I am remembering you, Jordan, and how missed you are. Your brothers have been amazingly supportive even through their own dreadful grief. Your friends are still here all the time – they haven’t nor will they forget you – they remind me of this always in actions and words. The mementos, tattoos (yes, even me), special jerseys (Scottamus’ is truly wonderful) happen all the time and I still hear your name and the memories and stories about you regularly – especially on those Saturday night game nights which continue still. It is not and never will be the same without you, but your friends are truly loyal and honour you and us with their constant presence. I don’t always participate because I have trouble being in “your space” without you there, but everyone comes and visits with me for you. Emotionally, many of us are still very raw and have difficulty going on site and adding our thoughts, but today is a special one because you are very much in my heart every day so I am sending my thoughts and prayers to you. They had better being treating you right or they will answer to me when I finally see you again. You deserve the best. I think of you day and night and can’t begin to tell you what a huge empty space you have left behind but filled with wonderful memories – which I keep having each time I look through tears at yet another photo and hear another tale. I still ask why and don’t have a good answer, but I guess you have more insight than we do by now so come and talk in the wee hours of the morning and share what you know. Jordan my name is Jennifer Gaudaur, i am on an O.S.A.I.D team at North Addington Education Center. I met your mom when she came to our school to talk to our grade 7-12 students about your accident. We all saw the video you were in. The MADD video Dead On Arrival. When she talked about you i told myself that you didn't deserve what happened no one ever does, and they way your dad talked about how you always had to have the passenger seat that made me think to myself that you are a hero in everyones eyes. I would have LOVED to meet you.
